Hi! I'm Mary Garner. Welcome to Kaleidoscope Counseling!
In nature, a group of butterflies is known as a kaleidoscope — a fitting symbol of constant shift and collective strength. Living with pain of any kind often feels overwhelming and all-consuming. Yet, even in this space, meaningful transformation is possible.
Years of therapeutic experience across a partial hospitalization program, a college counseling center, and private practice have prepared me to support clients through a wide range of concerns. My clinical practice frequently focuses on acute or chronic health conditions, anxiety, trauma and PTSD, and grief. Whatever brings you to therapy, my goal is to empower you to deepen self-awareness, build mental and physical resilience, and navigate daily life with greater presence, connection, and confidence.
At Kaleidoscope Counseling, I offer an individualized, integrative approach using a blend of somatic techniques, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). This means we don’t try to “fix” you — we work with your brain, your body, and your reality.
Just as each individual butterfly in a kaleidoscope influences the movement and beauty of it, every part of you affects the whole. By taking a holistic approach, we'll honor how your mind, body, and spirit interact — supporting all of who you are to instill lasting balance and strength.
